A Prayer of Thanksgiving 

We thank You, O Lord, for all the gifts of today, and all the days of our lives. For all that we have seen, and heard, and felt, and received, we thank You. For water that cleanses, and quenches our thirst; for the food which, by some miracle of mud and sun and caring hands, gives us energy and at the same time tastes good. For the wind in our faces, friends at our side, music in our ears, fire in our blood, and love in our hearts, dear Lord, we thank You.

For work to do, for peace to make, for justice to create, for fun to share; For laughter and tears, for the night, the stars, the silence, the promising dawn, the time You have given us, our lives to invest, and for Jesus Christ, the reason for why we worship, Lord God, we thank You.
