Prayer
Loving and Merciful God, on this Father’s Day, we are reminded that you are the Father of us all.
You have called us to be your family, a people united through your son, Jesus Christ, that through him you have revealed your love, a love that reaches out to us day by day despite our sometimes failure to love in return.
On this day we give thanks for fathers young and old. We remember fathers and grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memories, and nourish us with the memory of their love.
On this Father’s Day, we thank you for inviting us to address you as ‘Our Father’ that we should be called the children of God. Amen.
