A Prayer of Intercession for Mother’s Day
On this Mother's Day, we remember in prayer all mothers everywhere. For our aged mothers, that they may live out their days in peace and comfort, we pray.
For expectant mothers who are looking forward to motherhood with both apprehension and anticipation, we pray.
For single mothers who struggle to make ends meet, and who try so desperately to be all things to their children, we pray.
For stepmothers who try to meet the challenge of children who are not eager to accept them, we pray.
For those mothers who experience both satisfaction and frustration as they guide their children through the stages of life, give strength, O God, we pray.
On this Mother's Day, we remember in prayer all mothers everywhere. Amen.
