A Prayer for the Presence of God’s Spirit

Holy Spirit, who comes both as gentle breeze and as whirlwind, as quiet glow and as raging fire, we ask that You will make your presence known to us in whatever way is appropriate for our needs.

Some of us need to be comforted, and others of us need to be disturbed. Some of us need to have more self-confidence and others of us need to be humbled. Some of us need to be slowed down, and others of us need to be prodded into action. We ask that You will do whatever is necessary to mould us into the kind of people we aspire to be.

O Holy Spirit, influence us for good, inspire us for service, and infuse us with your holy power and love. Breath on us, O Breath of God. Fill us with life anew, that we may love what You do love, and do what You would do. In Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Bill and Jacquie Fuller recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at McPhail and returned to our building for a photo (above). We rejoice with them as they celebrate this milestone and wish them continued happiness for many years to come!
